I’ve been MIA, I know. But, here is why:
In my second, contract job at The Salvation Army, the last two weeks of December were the busiest of all my time there. My contract officially ended on the 23rd and I will miss the team there very much. I haven’t worked with people that inclusive, friendly, giving and wonderful since my job at the MSC in Tillsonburg. Okay, probably also at Talon here as well (another short job I had). I still have my job at the music store, and am still looking for that perfect, permanent full time place.
Originally, the family and I had plans to go to Nova Scotia for Christmas to be with my sisters family and my parents, but, since they are part of our lives every day, we didn’t even think to discuss our dogs until it was too late. So, we stayed home. It actually would up being a great decision. We have had the most perfect couple of days here. Everyone has been laughing together, cooking together, cleaning, watching movies and just enjoying being us. We FaceTime and Skype with Keisha and it’s been lovely.
Now we all have this week off together before we dip our feet back into regular life and, for the first time all month, I woke up to snow this morning.
Happy holidays, one and all. May your days be merry and bright!
