It’s March Break here in still feckin’ snowy New Brunswick and the kids are all home so of course I decided to bite off more than I can chew in home projects. We already changed the parlour into the new dining room and the dining room into the new gym last weekend so this week I painted my living room.
You will have seen the insane post of holes in the wall the other day.
Painting this very large room has taken me two days. I am aching and sore but so happy to have a bright and cheerful blue on the walls now. It’s a happy colour.
Now that that particular project is done, it’s time for the kids most/least favourite day. We are also painting their rooms which means we are purging. Old clothes that no longer fit? You’re gone. Garbage and junk no one even remembered was still there? Outa here. My baby has decided that at 13 he no longer wants sponge bob on his walls, he is going for a more grown up look. They are all making their rooms into havens for their teenage-dom and I love that.
So much junk has already been thrown out this week and I’m not done yet. But, I already feel so much lighter.
Now to go and get back at it.
