It’s almost noon on Tuesday and I haven’t been checking in much for the last 24 hours or so, but my messages are mounting up and I love hearing all the comments on how much you’re all pulling for Shawn.
Yesterday afternoon, late in the day, Shawn had a third, small heart attack. It was minor and we are told that it is not completely unusual for day three after such a large scale arrest. He had a really rough day and night yesterday and I stayed with him at the hospital last night. His kidneys definitely took a hit with the oxygen loss and it’s still too early to tell if his brain did as well.
Today though, has been much better so far. He’s a bit calmer and seems to be having an easier time relaxing in between bouts of being awake. He’s definitely not thrilled with his surroundings and is letting us know that whenever he can muster up a few words.
We have some family with us right now and are enjoying being able to lean on one another a little more. We’re going to take this afternoon to just hang out together and not be stressed out.
I’m am continually optimistic that the day will keep on improving and that he will have a much better night tonight. He is still critical, but keeps on fighting. Which, is so Shawn.
Much love to all. Hug your loved ones and be kind to one another.
