With my oldest, and first son, still living in Ontario, we live in a house that is mostly women and girls. Myself, my 18 (almost 19 year old daughter) Keisha, my 16 year old daughter Aislinn and my 14 year old daughter Kathryn. Plus two female dogs. My youngest (and my other boy-one half of the “book ends” of boys), Shawn Micheal left on Sunday night for two nights and two days away at camp with his class.
My poor husband.
It’s all about girl talk, girl giggles, girl jokes, girl debates. Periods, bathing suit looks, body issues, YouTube that isn’t minecraft, book talk, music being belted loudly and lots of showers and hair talk. Kathryn has her grade eight graduation on Thursday, so there has been tons of talk as well about how the girls are going to help her with her hair and makeup.
Yesterday, since Keisha is off and Aislinn is officially done school for the year, they did their nails. Hilarious to watch them hold their hands slightly differently and wiggle their fingers to call attention to the new beautiful colours.
I love living in a house full of girls.
But…honestly, I can’t wait to see my little boy again tonight.
