What a week it’s been.
We started out the week with some hard news, Keisha has to postpone her entry into University. We found out that here in NB, you can’t apply for student loans (the equivalent of OSAP) unless you’ve lived here for at least a year. Also, you can’t apply for a student loan at the bank under 19 years old unless your parents co-sign it. Annnd, when your parents technically own two houses because one of them back in Ontario didn’t sell, the bank doesn’t think it’s a good idea to have you legally responsible for student loans as well. So that sucked.
Also, I went in for some professional help with my job search. It didn’t go the way I had expected it to and I was frustrated. So, I signed on with a temp agency and most of you KNOW how I feel about them. But, this is getting increasingly important, so measures must be taken.
I also decided this week not to audition for the play that is coming up with the Saint John little theatre. Honestly, I’m just not ready and I had no excitement leading up to the audition dates. Usually I’m climbing the walls with excitement so if it’s not there, I decided now is not the time for me. I need to be focusing my energy on work and the search for it more.
That being said, the upsides of this week have been that I’ve made myself get out of the house more, and I started writing again!! I’m so happy to be saying those words.
This isn’t exactly always what I pictured my life to be out here, but I love it.
