The kids are now officially registered for school, new health cards are coming, I have still not found work and the fall feels like it’s rapidly approaching. Viable days to use the pool are becoming fewer and farther between, though we did get a great few hours out of it on Sunday.
I have a book signing coming up in just a few short weeks and before you know it, we will be well underway in another school year, the state of which I still use to mark the passing of time. New year for me is not in January, it’s in September.
Life does indeed move at a vastly different pace out here in the Maritimes, or maybe it’s just that we’ve stopped filling our days and indeed weekends with things to do and places to be. We’re not gone three nights a week for sports or theatre rehearsals, we’re just…living here. It’s quieter, more beautiful and peaceful.
Wonder if I’ll still like it so much next week when the house is super quiet again during the day??
