My backyard is a wreck, y’all. I have three dogs and the backyard is their toilet.
During the winter, it’s easy to forget to run out there and dispose of all the poop, plus, who in the hell wants to do that in the middle of the night? Winter is cold.
No thanks.
So of course when the weather finally thawed we realized our backyard is COVERED. It’s been raked, and cleaned up and dealt with but man, all of a sudden, (is it just my imagination) they have been working on a re-fill on overtime it seems.
So, with the weekend rapidly approaching (yay) and the weather for the weekend looking like it’s going to be absolutely beautiful outside (YAY) and with the fact that I had been planning on getting some yard work done anyway (sorta reluctantly half smiles) I guess I’ll be on poop duty (snicker) as well.
Raking the lawn, pulling the weeds, prepping the garden, cleaning the pool.
Then looking up doggie diapers online.
Happy Spring!
At least it your own dog! In my neighborhood, we have a woman who sneaks into the backyards of other people on the block to let her dog do its business. She targets those who are elderly or disabled so they’re less likely to catch her. I’m in a wheelchair, so she saw my ramp & started coming to my yard. I ended up with poop all over my backyard and flies everywhere!
Because she has a small dog, I initially thought someone’s cat was the culprit…until I saw her strolling down my driveway. I rolled out my chair and followed her home, then reported her to the police–since I had “No Trespassing” signs posted, she was in clear violation of the law. I later learned I wasn’t her first target.
So be grateful that you only have to clean up what’s generated by your own dog. There’s some real nutcases out there.

Oh my goodness that is the craziest thing I’ve ever heard!! Stealth pooping on other people’s lawns?? And to people who are elderly or disabled?!!! Despicable. Hopefully karma comes back and gives her a raging case of scabies. Wow.
