When I finish writing Summer Poppies, which I hopefully will in the next two months at most, I have started thinking ahead to what project I want to work on next.
I have a few sitting in my notebook right now and one of those is to work on a second series. This time, with the focus on the male characters. I already have some of it outlined, as ideas have come to me.
But, especially over the last few weeks, I’ve had a ton of other ideas as well for stand-alone novels. I don’t know whether it’s the time of year (I know winter is on the way out, and that makes me supremely happy) or what, but for some reason, my creative juices have been running like sap through the maple trees.
It could also be that I’ve had a few positive steps forward in the last couple of weeks professionally speaking and that is driving me forward.
Whatever it is, I am just really happy that my work as a writer is not coming to an end as this first series of mine does.
In fact, it seems to be just beginning.
You got to be kidding! You, stop writing! Creating! Never! What family were you born into? Of all nine of us in this family there are FIVE writers, TWO fine artists, and TWO dancers. Everyone has done some writing, creating, playing music, dancing, and singing. Sometimes even getting paid for the second creative bone. If I remember correctly you have a lovely singing voice. Even your little brother (well, not so little) is writing though I don’t know when he finds the time dancing and teaching dance all over North America. At lest I know where you are. With your computer in front of you, WRITING.
Proud? Do you think?

Today, I went to the beachfront with my children.
I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said
“You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and
screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is totally
off topic but I had to tell someone!
